Hi, I’m Mackenzie—and I’ve never taken the traditional path, but honestly, I think that’s my superpower.
I started out in education with Teach For America, earning my master’s while teaching full-time. When that chapter ended, I followed my entrepreneurial spirit and jumped into real estate in Dallas—helping people find apartments that truly fit their lives. Then, after a location change, I took a leap, bet on myself even further, and opened my own women’s boutique. I handled everything—buying, customer service, logistics, budgeting—and learned so much in the process.
When my husband and I decided to start a family, I stepped away to focus on that next season. But at our 20-week ultrasound, our baby boy, Reece, was diagnosed with transposition of the great arteries, a congenital heart defect. Reece had open-heart surgery at just 7 days old, and unexpectedly again at 7 months. That experience changed everything for me. We were surrounded by incredible healthcare teams who played such a huge role in our son’s life—and ours. After processing that experience a year or so later, I knew I wanted to be part of that kind of impact.
Once Reece turned 18 months and was strong and stable, I was ready to rejoin the workforce. I was recruited into tech sales—and I’ve truly thrived. I quickly became the top performer on my team, was promoted to Enterprise SDR, and discovered how much I love consultative selling—listening, problem-solving, helping provide real solutions.
Now, as I look ahead, I’m ready to blend my success in sales with my desire to make an impact and take that next step into medical sales. Not just because I can do it—but because I care deeply about meaningful work that helps patients and families like mine.
